:Harvey:’s Help, Now Just an Email Away
Lawyers can now send questions, generate files, and drive projects forward right from their inbox.
Legal work moves through the inbox: client requests, deal updates, news alerts, and quick clarifications all land there. Lawyers have needed to constantly switch between apps throughout their day to respond to inquiries and move work along, rebuilding context from scratch each time. Email Harvey, now available to all Harvey customers in Early Access, helps minimize that manual back-and-forth so that users can get quick answers and move work forward.

Receive Files and Drafts Right in Your Inbox
Email Harvey allows a lawyer to forward a request to kick off a task, or quickly assess what a client or team member is asking for and come up with a preliminary response. For example, lawyers can email Harvey to help with:
- Analyzing regulatory updates for a client: A lawyer can forward a news update or inquiry from the client and ask Harvey to produce a PowerPoint summarizing the relevant requirements and implications, with a completed deck as an attachment in the reply.
- Revising internal launch strategy based on outside counsel feedback: When an in-house team engages with outside counsel, they can email inbound updates to Harvey to provide the right context in one step. In the same email, the in-house lawyer can ask Harvey to produce a revised summary of compliance and risk mitigation strategies in a Word document that can then be shared with the business.
The lawyer is able to review results in their own private email thread, ask Harvey follow-up questions, and validate findings before sharing them more widely — helping keep the lawyer in the loop.
Continue Deeper Work in the Web App
When a question calls for more than a quick answer, lawyers can view their email threads on the Harvey web app. Lawyers can start a task right when they’re notified, with the ability to reference results in longer processes later on.
For example, an M&A lawyer can ask Harvey to quickly prepare an updated issues list when they receive an updated redline on a purchase agreement. Later, they can save those findings to the right vault for the matter, reference all prior agreement redlines and versions in a review table, and ask Harvey to summarize patterns and tactics accordingly. That means all the work related to a matter or project is tied together, creating a more comprehensive context record.
Get Answers Securely Wherever You Are
Email Harvey uses the same strict authentication protocols embedded in the platform. If users require client matter tagging within Harvey, email enforces the same validation so that matter-level controls are preserved. That means every Harvey response, whether it’s in email or on the web app, is properly handled.
