FAQs
Harvey gives administrators workspace-level controls over who can use Harvey, what they can access, and how long their inputs are kept. Admins can manage user permissions and access to specific features and Vault projects, set data retention periods for queries and uploaded documents, and review usage in Command Center and audit logs that can be exported for compliance review. Harvey also supports SSO and SCIM user provisioning.
Harvey is built specifically for legal work, and includes the workflows, legal research, and document tools that general-purpose AI assistants aren't designed to provide. For example, your team can review a clinical trial agreement against its own negotiation playbook and get a rule-by-rule analysis with tracked-change redlines in Microsoft Word. Vault and Review Tables can extract terms across document sets, like hundreds of stored BAAs stored, with answers cited back to the source language. Harvey also connects to legal research sources such as LexisNexis for cited answers.
Harvey lets administrators control who can build, edit, and publish agents and playbooks, so each practice group can maintain its own standards within guardrails the department sets. Admins can assign role-based permissions that limit creation and publishing rights to designated owners. They can also share approved agents and playbooks with specific groups, such as clinical, commercial, or regulatory, rather than the whole workspace, and review who created or last changed each one.
Harvey is built to clear enterprise security and AI governance reviews, and the Trust Center gives your reviewers the documentation to confirm it. Harvey holds a SOC 2 Type II report and ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications. For AI governance specifically, it holds ISO 42001 and AIUC-1. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit and, by default, never used for training. Enterprise controls include SAML SSO, audit logs, IP allow-listing, and data lifecycle management.
Upload the acquired company's contracts to a Vault and build a review table that pulls change-of-control and assignment terms from every agreement into one view. A single table can cover up to 10,000 files, and every cell links to the source language, so your team can confirm consent and notice requirements without rereading each contract. Assign rows for follow-up and export the results for the integration team.
Harvey reviews long licensing and supply agreements against your own playbook and returns a rule-by-rule assessment with suggested edits. Capture your standard and fallback positions on terms like milestone payments, supply-failure remedies, and IP ownership, then run the review in Harvey for Word or the web app. Suggested edits come back as tracked-change redlines, so your team negotiates from the document instead of from notes.
