Harvey’s improved Word experience delivers a more intuitive and more reliable way to work, with a redesigned interface, playbook review enhancements, and new workflows. With these updates, our Word Add-In better understands how legal teams work, so they can complete complex legal tasks with less friction and more control.

We’re updating the Word Add-In homepage to optimize for clarity, personalization, and responsiveness. The new homepage experience will include suggestions for prompts based on the document type, helping users immediately discover the right actions to take.

Contract review requires high precision and clarity. Teams already use playbook features to quickly generate accurate first drafts, precision edits, and redlines, reducing drafting and review times. To help these legal teams move with confidence, we’re enhancing the playbook review experience to provide more granular controls and insights into contracting.

Harvey now provides a complete view of all contractual changes, including redlines not tied to a specific playbook rule, making sure teams never miss a counterparty redline. Early next year, the Word Add-In will also allow teams to specify which party they represent and indicate whether the contract is on first-party or third-party paper. With that context, Harvey will tailor its playbook commentary and recommendations to the right perspective.

Additionally, required language flags will be available in December, helping teams review consistently across every deal. Instead of searching for prior examples or precedent, teams will be able to review Harvey’s suggested language directly in the document they’re editing and redline instantly.

These updates will help teams quickly complete contract reviews without sacrificing quality.
