Harvey Team

Welcome back to The Brief, where we round up what’s new in Harvey each month. This month’s updates make it easier to divide and conquer review tasks, accelerate workflow creation, and bring more of Harvey’s functionality into the tools you use every day.
A Unified Interface for Legal Work
Harvey is building the intelligence layer for legal work, seamlessly orchestrating multiple tools to produce comprehensive work product. The first step is a unified interface that anticipates your needs and guides your work through intelligent suggestions. Dive deeper in our blog post.
New Homepage
Get started faster with personalized suggestions, frequently used knowledge sources, and relevant workflows front and center.

Draft and Chat in One Place
Draft documents, ask questions, and refine your work—all in a single, seamless conversation thread.
More Powerful Document Editing
Edit and format directly in Harvey with a new in-app draft editor. You can use Harvey as a notepad for quick notes or outlines, then ask Harvey to develop them into more polished documents.

Ask Questions Over Review Tables
Use natural language to analyze, summarize, and draft from Review tables—no switching tools or learning new interfaces.
Work Smarter in Review Tables
Better tools for assigning, tracking, and managing review tasks across your team.
Assign or Flag Cells for Review
You can now assign rows in the Review table to specific users, making it easier to split up work. Flag any cell with a red marker to signal items that need attention or further review.

New Filters
Three new filters let you view rows that are (un)verified, (un)flagged, and (un)assigned. Filter by what’s relevant to you, and stay focused on what needs your input.

Status Panel
A new slideout panel gives a quick snapshot of review status for each table, including how many cells or rows are assigned, verified, or flagged.

When exporting a Review table, you can now include citations. This will show up as a new column with reference snippets in the exported file.

Faster Workflow Creation
New ways to speed up the process of building and scaling workflows.
Words to Workflows
Type a natural language description of your desired workflow, and Harvey will auto-generate a first draft. Skip the blank page and edit from a head start.

Create a Playbook Workflow
Turn a set of past contracts into a reusable Playbook, so Harvey can identify and apply your preferred fallback positions.

New Workflow Builder improvements
You can now insert steps directly into existing workflows and tap into your library of pre-built prompts. These highly requested updates help streamline building.
More Powerful Word Add-In
Improvements to the Harvey Word Add-In make it easier to draft, edit, and reference precedent material directly in your documents.
Assistant and Vault in Word Add-In
Access Harvey’s Vault and Assistant functionality directly in Word. Ask questions about clauses, definitions, or policies and get fast, reliable responses. Pull in precedents and other institutional knowledge from Vault to inform drafting and review.

Global Expansion
Laying the groundwork for broad deployment and cross-jurisdictional work.
AU Data Processing
Harvey is now available in Australia-based Azure regions. All app infrastructure and AI model processing remain within Australia when enabled.
New Knowledge Sources
We added nine new curated knowledge sources in July: Austria, Finland, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, India, Switzerland, Norway, France. We are rapidly expanding our offerings here. Read more about the latest on our blog and stay up to date on new ones in our Help Center.
