About Vinge

Vinge is one of the leading Nordic law firms, renowned for delivering long-term, sustainable legal advice. With over 550 professionals across offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, and Brussels, the firm handles a full spectrum of business law matters, from high-stakes M&A and regulatory matters to advising high-growth startups.

Innovation is deeply embedded in the firm’s DNA. Vinge sees technology not just as an operational tool, but as a strategic lever to elevate client service, empower lawyers, and sharpen the firm’s competitive edge.

Opportunity

By mid-2023, it was clear to Vinge’s management team that generative AI wasn’t just the next wave in legal tech — it was a complete paradigm shift.

“We knew there would come a time when using AI would be as natural to lawyers as using email or document management systems,” said Ann-Marie Ovin, CIO and Head of Knowledge, Process & Innovation. “We wanted to be in the forefront of that change — not react to it.”

As the firm explored potential solutions, Harvey stood out for its deep understanding of law firm needs and its ability to deliver immediate, practical value.

Solution

Vinge’s initial pilot with Harvey sparked unprecedented engagement. What started as a focused rollout to 100 attorneys quickly gained momentum, fueled by overwhelming demand from across the firm.

“We’ve never seen this level of excitement around a tech solution,” said Ovin. “Harvey resonated because it immediately gave our lawyers something tangible: an opportunity to have even more time to focus on what really matters. It has made us more efficient.”

Today, Harvey is woven into the fabric of daily life at Vinge. The firm has now scaled Harvey access across all attorneys and introduced AI task forces within practice groups to surface use cases.

The result: firmwide adoption and a tangible shift in how legal work is tackled at Vinge, with over 90% of Vinge attorneys reporting that Harvey adds value to their work and output.

Quality Up, Risk Down

Lawyers are spending less time on repetitive tasks and more time on bespoke advisory work. In due diligence, for instance, Harvey has reduced time spent on document review workflows by over 70%, enabling faster risk mitigation and sharper advice.

It’s also improving the consistency and clarity of deliverables — with lawyers using Harvey to align their guidance to the tone and structure of complex EU regulatory documents. “When language is at the heart of the work, aligning tone and terminology is essential to delivering clear, high-quality advice,” said Ovin.

Momentum that Compounds

By optimizing tasks, Vinge is unlocking firmwide efficiencies that compound over time. Teams are completing more work.

“We’re seeing the cumulative impact of AI-driven improvements across our business. It’s not about just one great use case or outcome— it’s about every task getting better. That adds up to something invaluable,” explained Ovin.

Sharper Talent, Stronger Teams

Harvey improves the experience of performing large parts of the everyday work in the legal profession. Lawyers now have a built-in sparring partner, complementing human sparring, to test arguments, refine ideas and explore new directions – increasing creativity and professional development.

Routine tasks like summarizing meetings, reviewing policies, or redacting GDPR-sensitive information can now be completed quickly, freeing up lawyers to focus on problem solving.

Impact

“Generative AI has become second nature for many of our lawyers,” said Ovin. “It’s helped them focus on the work that brought them into law in the first place—strategic thinking, deep analysis, and delivering meaningful results to clients.

While time is a precious commodity, for Ovin, measuring hours saved does not capture the full picture of Generative AI’s impact on the firm. “Harvey unlocks headspace – that’s what drives innovation. That’s what allows our lawyers to think more boldly, work more strategically, and deliver more value.”

Looking ahead, Vinge views Harvey as a strategic partner in shaping the next chapter of legal practice.

“The question isn’t whether AI will change how we work — it’s how far we can go, and how fast,” said Ovin. “With Harvey, we’re building a future where value is unlocked in entirely new ways, and we’re bringing every client, every lawyer, and every part of the firm along with us.”
