About
FISCHER (FBC & Co.), founded in 1958, is one of Israel’s leading full-service law firms and among the largest in the country, with over 360 lawyers, including 120 partners. Recognized as part of Israel’s “Big Law,” the firm handles a wide range of transactions and precedent-setting litigation central to Israel’s legal, economic, and public agenda. Consistently ranked Tier/Band 1 across more practice areas than any other Israeli firm, FISCHER is regularly recognized by top international ranking guides such as Chambers and Partners, Legal 500, IFLR 1000, GCR, and WWL.
While deeply committed to innovation, FISCHER has launched several AI-driven initiatives to refine and perfect the excellent service provided to its clients and has long been a pioneer in Israel’s legal tech landscape. As such, it is widely recognized as a market leader in adopting AI-driven solutions in the legal sector. Operating in a fast-changing legal environment, FISCHER, like all other big law firms, sees generative AI as a way to enhance their lawyer’s practice and offer tech-oriented, client-centered legal services.
Over the past two years, a dedicated team—led by Dr. Omri Rachum-Twaig (Partner and Co-head of the AI team), Zofnat Drori (Partner and CEO), and Idan Sivan (CTO and Co-head of the AI team)—has been guiding the firm’s transition into the AI era, driving the integration and implementation of advanced technologies across its practice.
Opportunity
At FISCHER, lawyers at all levels, from partners to junior associates, dedicated substantial time on foundational yet time-consuming tasks, such as legal research, document review, and first-draft writing. While critical to the legal process, these routine activities limited the capacity for high-value strategic thinking and deeper client engagement.
When the team explored general-purpose AI tools, they saw an opportunity for something more tailored.
“We needed something designed by lawyers, not just for them,” said Dr. Omri Rachum-Twaig. “Harvey stood out as a platform that felt like a true extension to our lawyers’ expertise, not something disconnected from the reality of practice.”
Solution
FISCHER’s AI team ran a rigorous evaluation. More than 50 senior lawyers put multiple GenAI platforms through real legal workflows. Harvey distinguished itself, delivering the best results in accuracy, usability, and reliability.
Following the pilot, FISCHER partnered closely with the Harvey team to tailor use cases, integrate with internal systems, and execute a phased rollout aligned with the firm’s priorities.
“In a recent M&A transaction, a team of associates used Vault to process the data room in a fraction of the usual time,” said Sivan. “It flagged risks, benchmarked findings, and delivered structured summaries, reducing review time by more than 80%.”
Today, Harvey enables core workflows across key practice areas:
- High-Stakes Litigation: Lawyers use Harvey to synthesize evidence, strengthen case preparation which sharpens the way they handle legal workload.
- Due Diligence: Harvey’s Vault capabilities assist in reviewing high volumes of documents in a fraction of the time, applying firm-specific diligence templates to spot red flags and generate reports that speed up deal execution.
- Contract Review: Harvey significantly speeds up commercial agreement review by identifying key risks earlier and quickly surfacing precedent clauses from prior deals.
- Legal Drafting: Harvey helps teams produce first draft memos, filings, agreements, and client updates faster, freeing lawyers to focus on strategy and precision.
Impact
“At FISCHER, our team leads the way in delivering top-tier legal services, supported by Harvey’s smart capabilities. By leveraging this powerful tool, the work is faster and more efficient, allowing us to continue focusing on deeper analysis and strategic collaboration. This partnership ensures we consistently achieve great results, tailored to meet our clients’ most complex needs.”
Zofnat Drori
Partner and CEO
“Harvey turbocharges efficiency for experienced lawyers and transforms junior associates’ contributions, empowering them to elevate their work from good to exceptional”, said Dr. Rachum-Twaig.
Looking ahead, FISCHER plans to deepen its integration of Harvey, focusing on real-time collaboration, and custom agent workflows tailored to its expertise.
“Harvey is helping reshape how legal work gets done,” said Sivan. “Together, we’re redefining how modern legal teams deliver value.”
