As 2025 comes to a close, we’re looking back on the releases that strengthened and expanded the Harvey platform, helping our customers do their best work with the power of AI.

From transforming how firms and clients collaborate, to redefining depth of analysis, to bringing Harvey wherever legal work happens, this year’s product milestones reflect our commitment to building intuitive, powerful tools that fit into — and enhance — modern legal workflows.

Below, we count down our top five product releases of 2025, and why they matter for legal teams.

5. Workflow Builder: Scale Your Best Legal Work

Workflow Builder marked a major step forward in helping legal teams turn their proprietary knowledge into structured, repeatable processes.

Since the release in June, Harvey customers have built 18,000+ custom workflows. Some of the most frequently used pre-built workflows include Translate Documents, Proofread for Spelling and Grammar, and Transcribe Audio to Text — a signal that teams are using Workflows to accelerate everyday legal tasks at scale.

Instead of manually stitching together steps for drafting, reviewing, or analyzing documents, lawyers and Innovation teams can create custom workflows that automate multi-step tasks end-to-end. Here are the basic steps:

  1. Describe or design your workflow: Tell Harvey what you want to build in plain language, or lay out steps manually in an intuitive canvas.
  2. Customize with your firm’s know-how: Add the inputs, precedent examples, and branching logic that reflect how your firm works.
  3. Deploy, share, and refine: Test the workflow, set permissions, share it across your team, and iterate as your needs evolve.

Whether it’s streamlining contract reviews, creating compliance materials, generating client-ready work product, or ensuring consistency across large matters, Workflow Builder empowers teams to design AI-powered processes that reflect their own preferences and organizational standards.

4. Microsoft 365 Integrations: Access Harvey Inside Your Daily Tools

This year, we deepened Harvey’s presence within the tools that legal teams use most, with new and enhanced integrations across Microsoft 365 applications.

In August, we announced a new Harvey for Outlook Add-In, enabling users to access Harvey functionality directly in Outlook and eliminating the need to switch between tools when managing and responding to emails. These capabilities span analysis, communication, and matter management, and usage has grown quickly, with our customers running over 12,000 queries per week in Outlook.

In the Harvey for Word Add-in, enhanced functionality brings sharper drafting, smarter revisions, and context-aware suggestions directly into the application. Here’s a look at some of what’s new:

  • Fill and Edit Tables: Use content from reference materials and natural language prompts to populate tables in Word documents.
  • Prompt Library: Choose from a curated library of proven prompts tailored to your organization.
  • History: Access important context in the form of previous Ask, Edit, and Playbook interactions directly from Word documents.

Finally, teams can access existing files from Microsoft SharePoint directly in the Harvey platform, making winning precedents, reference documents, and existing templates easily accessible when drafting and querying.

These integrations help make Harvey a deeply connected partner that enhances drafting, communication, and knowledge management in real time.

3. New and Improved Reasoning Capabilities: Get Deep Analysis Over Multiple Sources

Our multi-source reasoning capabilities make it faster and easier for legal teams to get comprehensive, context-rich answers. In November, we introduced Harvey’s ability to conduct iterative, agentic searches across large sets of documents, refining its approach until it has surfaced the most critical, salient insights.

Agentic search also lays the technical foundation for deep analysis over multiple sources, which allows you to run complex queries and combine public and proprietary data into one analysis task. This includes:

  • Harvey’s 200+ legal knowledge sources, including Glydendal Rettsdata, EDGAR, and sources across 60+ jurisdictions worldwide
  • Web search
  • Internal data from Vault, local file uploads, or our integrations with iManage, NetDocuments, SharePoint, and Google Drive

2. Mobile App: Work Securely Wherever You Are

One of our core product goals is to meet lawyers where they are and make AI-powered legal work seamless across devices, teams, and geographies. According to our latest study, 86% of lawyers rely on mobile devices for away-from-desk work, and 89% check work messages multiple times a day outside standard hours.

But while mobile work is universal, AI access isn’t: 75% of lawyers still use AI primarily on laptops or desktops, with only 20% using it on smartphones. There is a clear gap between where work happens and where AI tools live, and in September we took a major step toward closing that gap with the announcement of the Harvey mobile app.

The Harvey mobile app brings the power of Harvey to your phone or tablet and also includes new, mobile-specific capabilities. Here’s a quick overview of what you can do:

  • Use Voice to Prompt for hands-free prompting and dictation, and Magic Prompt for automatic query refinement.
  • Upload files by scanning in documents using your phone camera.
  • Transcribe audio that can be saved as a file to Vault or used in Assistant queries.
  • View projects and documents in Vault.

The result is a mobile experience designed for the realities of modern legal practice: fast-moving matters, constant communication, and work that happens beyond the desk.

1. Shared Spaces: Collaborate Securely in Real Time

Legal work rarely happens in isolation. Matters move quickly, stakeholders multiply, and documents, drafts, and conversations spread across multiple platforms. Earlier this month, we launched Shared Spaces to bring all of that collaboration into one place — so firm and client teams can stay aligned, work transparently, and move faster together.

Built for how legal work actually happens, Shared Spaces give firms a secure way to bring clients directly into their matters. Teams can share Vaults so clients can review key documents like diligence, contracts, and fund documents or self-serve answers grounded in the firm’s expertise.

Harvey surfaces insights across your documents, then lets you assign follow-ups and review tasks so work can move in parallel across your team or with outside counsel. As reviews come back, you can verify, flag, and discuss issues directly in context, with ownership and next steps clearly tracked.

Firms can also share purpose-built Workflows and Playbooks, allowing clients to generate first drafts or access structured guidance without losing the benefit of lawyer oversight. Guest accounts let firms collaborate with clients who aren’t yet Harvey users, creating new touchpoints and extending the firm’s AI leadership. And with granular permissions, audit trails, and enterprise-grade security, legal teams maintain control over what they share and how it’s used.

Looking Ahead to 2026

We’re proud of what we built in 2025, and even more excited for what’s to come. In 2026, we’ll continue advancing what AI can do for legal teams and delivering tools that help lawyers work smarter, collaborate more seamlessly, and serve their clients with greater impact.
