:Harvey:’s Integration With NetDocuments Intelligent DMS

Our goal with the NetDocuments intelligent DMS integration is to meet lawyers where they already work, making knowledge available without compromising security or changing how teams manage their documents.

With the integration, teams can securely pull NetDocuments files into Harvey without creating local copies or changing existing permissions. Access to files through the integration remains governed by your organization’s NetDocuments access controls — just surfaced directly where you are accessing Harvey.

You can upload files from NetDocuments into Harvey for use in Assistant queries or to save in vaults. You can also quickly filter by cabinet and search by matter, folder, client, or file to find exactly what you need leveraging NetDocuments search capabilities. And soon, you’ll be able to export work generated in Harvey back to NetDocuments for seamless management.

Say you’re working on due diligence and need to analyze a set of commercial agreements to examine their change of control provisions. From inside the project’s vault, create a subfolder called “Commercial Agreements” and then upload the files you need from the equivalent folder in NetDocuments.

Next, run a Change of Control Analysis workflow to automatically extract information from the agreements like whether or not there is a change of control provision, which parties are restricted, and how “change of control” is defined.

You can then export the review table back to NetDocuments, ensuring your analysis stays linked to the source documents, remains within your organization’s system of record, and is accessible to the rest of the team.
