Welcome back to The Brief, where we round up what’s new in Harvey each month. This month’s updates focus on smarter prompting, expanded customization, and workflow upgrades that make it easier to operationalize internal knowledge.

Enhancements to how you can ask questions, and how Harvey answers them.

Perform in-depth analysis and synthesize information across the web to deliver comprehensive reports.

Harvey now highlights recommended knowledge sources when users click “Improve Prompt,” helping ground queries in the right materials for more accurate responses.

OpenAI’s latest flagship model GPT-5 is now available in Harvey, delivering stronger legal reasoning, long-form drafting, and improved orchestration of tools.

You can now edit entire documents using Harvey’s Word Add-In to rewrite, tighten, or align language across your document using natural language prompts and precedent.

New ways to tailor Harvey to your firm’s workflows, standards, and permissions.

Admins can upload formatting templates to ensure Harvey’s exports match organization-standard layouts – from margins and fonts to headers, tables, and numbering.

We’ve introduced more granular roles for playbook management:

When exporting Review tables to Excel, users can now choose to highlight verified cells in green and flagged ones in red – so changes made in Harvey are maintained in Excel.

Configure a Harvey knowledge base to sync daily from SharePoint, making internal documents searchable and usable in workflows without manual upload.

Embed firm precedent or “golden documents” directly into a custom workflow. These files persist across runs, reducing repetitive uploads and helping standardize output.
