What changes when AI expands the work a firm can take on? Join TITANS and participating law firms to discuss some of the findings from new research published by Harvey, based on interviews with ten boutique and mid-sized firms.

Ahead of the full report’s November 16 launch, we’ll explore how firms started out looking at AI to increase efficiency, but shifted the focus to expanding capacity, taking on more complex matters, and strengthening the firm as a whole. The discussion will also examine open questions around associate development and what firms want to achieve next with their collective knowledge.

The session will focus on four key questions:

  1. What can your firm take on today that it would previously have struggled to deliver? Lead with capacity, more complex matters, and client mandates.
  2. How do associates develop judgment as AI changes the work they learn from? Give Peyton a substantive role, while acknowledging that the research surfaces different approaches rather than a settled answer.
  3. A look at what these firms put in place to make it work. Verrill can cover practice group specific engagement and using vaults, Skyler can cover making someone responsible and avoiding long running committees
  4. What comes next? Close with ambitions for firmwide knowledge and the gap between current benefits and future possibilities.
