DLA Piper Scales :Harvey: with Global Adoption

by Harvey TeamMar 16, 2026

Law firm DLA Piper has grown its relationship with leading legal-AI platform Harvey, building on the existing partnership to secure 5,000 licenses across the firm's global footprint. The rollout follows an extensive pilot phase, and initial batch of licenses, proving use cases and demonstrating value across a variety of practices and workflows.

The firm's expanded Harvey relationship is the latest milestone in an innovation strategy which has seen it methodically buy, build, demo, pilot and embed a suite of tools across its global footprint. The Harvey integration sits alongside the firm-wide use of Microsoft CoPilot as the general AI assistant of choice, along with dozens of other tools and a quality-first approach to technology adoption. This includes a 'centre of excellence' support model with professionals across business services and the fee earning community approaching AI solutions for clients in a holistic way.

Terry Fedigan, Head of Innovation at DLA Piper, comments:

Harvey has accelerated our innovation journey in ways our lawyers feel every day. The pilot results and the pull from the business were clear, so we decided to scale quickly with great support from the Harvey team. While the integration of AI and GenAI into our firm is by no means a new concept, tools like Harvey are hitting the day-to-day workflow of a lawyer in a way they hadn't before. We've been stepping through this together with Harvey, our lawyers and our clients directly to make sure we sensibly apply GenAI workflows to the right problems with measurable impact.

Mark O'Conor, partner and Managing Director (Sectors) at DLA Piper, comments:

"Our role advising at the very top of the tech sector and along the whole AI lifecycle, from developers to deployments and the infrastructure therein, has given us a front row seat as generative AI has evolved and disrupted entire industries. This has helped to shape our own outlook, one which sees tools like Harvey becoming a staple of fast, accurate and highly collaborative solutions, augmenting the capabilities of our best-in-class people, and ultimately evolving our ability to deliver efficient, insight-led, and commercially impactful outcomes for our clients."

Winston Weinberg, CEO of Harvey, adds:

“DLA Piper has taken a thoughtful and strategic approach to AI adoption from day one. This has been a close collaboration focused on delivering meaningful impact for their lawyers and clients, and we’re proud to support the firm as it extends Harvey across teams and offices globally.”
