Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) Selects Harvey for Its In-House Legal Team

Bringing AI built for legal work to a regulated bank's lawyers

by Harvey Team•Nov 6, 2026

CBD has selected Harvey to support its in-house legal team across institutional capital markets, investment, regulatory, and commercial matters.

Harvey will support the complex, high-value work of the bank's lawyers, including research, drafting, review, and analysis of large document sets, delivered where lawyers already work, including Microsoft Word. It will also make CBD's institutional legal knowledge, from precedents and policies to prior work product, searchable and reusable across the team, helping lawyers deliver advice faster and more consistently.

CBD's lawyers will be able to design their own AI agents for recurring legal workflows, with Harvey's legal engineers working alongside them. The deployment was evaluated and onboarded through CBD's third-party risk assessment, with enterprise security and data protection as the baseline.

Mikkel Andersen, Chief Risk Officer at CBD said, “responsible adoption of AI is an important part of building a more agile and resilient bank. Our collaboration with Harvey will strengthen CBD’s legal and compliance capabilities, enabling our teams to navigate increasing regulatory complexity more efficiently while focusing their expertise on strategic priorities. With strong governance at the core, we are using technology not simply to automate work, but to strengthen decision-making and support the bank’s long-term growth.”

"CBD has taken a rigorous, considered approach to adopting AI, from its third-party risk assessment through to the workflows its lawyers are now building themselves," said Taylor Gorga, Go-to-Market Lead, MENA at Harvey. "We're proud to partner with a bank that is setting a high bar for how AI is adopted in financial services, and to support its legal team with a platform built for the complexity of their work."
