Role Overview
We are looking for a Procurement leader to build Harvey’s procurement function. You will be responsible for designing and executing all aspects of our internal Procurement approach. Tactically, you will be responsible for managing/optimizing our procurement intake and approval process, negotiating contracts with vendors, and managing renewals and vendor relationships. More broadly, you will be responsible for defining how we do Procurement internally. You will be a team of one and roll up your sleeves to update our overall process and manage the day-to-day; eventually you will build the procurement team as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, and a keen eye for detail.
What You'll Do
Process Improvement and Implementation. Assess current Procure-to-Pay (P2P) workflows and implement best practices and automation to drive better outcomes and efficiency.
Negotiations. Negotiate agreements directly with vendors.
Procurement Operations. Manage the procurement process -- monitoring requests and approvals, acting as the liaison between our team and vendors.
Vendor Management. Monitoring and acting on renewals, managing vendor relationships, identifying redundant vendors
Reporting and Analytics. Implement and monitor procurement KPIs and continuously improve purchasing efficiency and quality
What You Have
7+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in a high-growth technology company
Track record building or overhauling procurement-to-pay processes solo or in very small teams
Deep negotiation expertise and comfort redlining contracts directly with Legal
Strong understanding of modern procurement tooling and best practices
Exceptional project-management and relationship-building chops; able to influence without authority across functions. Proven ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
[Nice to have] Experience integrating modern AI tools into Procurement workflows
Compensation Range:
$200,000 - $250,000 USD
