Vault and Assistant Improvements

It's easy to lose momentum when you switch between dozens of tasks and matters throughout the day. By providing a faster, more intuitive, and more connected workspace for high-stakes legal work, Harvey's latest platform updates help make context-switching more seamless than ever.

With new enhancements to Assistant and Vault, lawyers can quickly analyze complex files, generate tailored outputs, and stay in flow from start to finish.

14x Faster Performance

Vault and Assistant can now handle complex document types more reliably. To help consolidate analysis of related materials such as contracts and their amendments or emails and attachments, you can now group related files together and extract over them as a single row within review tables.

For more comprehensive analysis and insights, Assistant now recognizes images, better extracts data points and patterns, and can analyze tables and comments inside Word documents.

Performance has been optimized across the platform: Overall latency is lower end-to-end, and citation latency after responses are generated is now up to 14 times faster.

Personalized, Context-Aware Answers

New capabilities in Assistant make it easier to get personalized, localized answers that reflect how legal professionals think and work. Harvey now tailors outputs to each user’s role and practice area and suggests relevant workflows directly within threads for faster execution.

For example, an Australian litigator might ask: “I am representing the plaintiff and group members in a class action before the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Please draft a Class Action Opt-Out Notice by reference to the attached pleadings.” Harvey will then generate an Opt-Out Notice tailored to the user’s regional terminology, drafting conventions, and practice-area.

You can also now get on-demand help using Harvey directly within the app. Instead of searching through the Support Hub, you can simply ask Harvey Guide in Assistant. You’ll receive cited responses that draw from official documentation, with direct links back to relevant Support Hub articles for further learning.

Finally, you can more easily ground responses in your firm’s own files and knowledge by using an @ mention to directly tag the file or source in Assistant.

Work Efficiently in a Connected Platform

Across the platform, Vault and Assistant now work together more seamlessly. You can create review tables directly from Assistant, making it easier than ever to perform structured, comparative analyses on any files. Queries initiated in Vault now also leverage the full power of Harvey's Assistant composer, including magic prompt, deep research, prompt library, and voice-to-prompt.

We’ve also refreshed Harvey’s design to create a clearer distinction between content and sidebar panels like Assistant threads and drafts, added new icons, and updated panel headers to deliver a more intuitive product experience.

And for greater flexibility and control, you can move threads in and out of vaults. Whether it's private scratchwork or artifacts and tools that are meant to be collaborative, Harvey offers more granular sharing controls over the assets you create. Together, these updates help legal teams do their best work in a more connected, personalized, and intuitive platform.
